3 things

Privacy
policy.

last updated: 2026-05-08

3 Things does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on a server. Everything you type lives on your device.

What we collect.

Nothing. 3 Things does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, telemetry, error reports, or identifiers. There is no backend server. There is no account. There is no install ping. There is no opt-in or opt-out — there is simply no collection.

What is stored locally.

The extension uses Chrome's chrome.storage.local API to save your data on your own device. This includes:

This data never leaves your machine. It is not synced, replicated, or backed up by 3 Things. If you uninstall the extension, this data is removed by Chrome.

Network requests.

The extension's interface is loaded entirely from local files bundled with the extension. The only external network requests are made by your browser to load Google Fonts (Instrument Serif, Inter, JetBrains Mono) used in the typography. Google's privacy policy applies to those font requests; see policies.google.com/privacy.

If you want to avoid even those requests, the fonts can be self-hosted in a future build — open an issue and let us know.

Permissions requested.

That's the entire permission set. The extension has no access to your browsing history, your tabs, your bookmarks, your downloads, or any other site.

Sharing or selling.

We do not collect data, so we cannot share, sell, or transfer it. We do not have a database. We do not have an analytics dashboard. We do not have a partner who receives data.

Children.

3 Things does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
